What it was like in 2015
Haptic advertising is appealing and impressive: That is the résumé of HAPTICA® live ’15, which took place at the Palladium in Cologne on March 25, 2015. The third edition of “The Experience of Haptic Advertising” attracted 1,299 visitors, an increase of around 35% compared to the previous year (959 visitors). The aisles were already crammed full during the first two hours of the event – an interested and qualified audience comprising of marketing decision-makers and buyers, advertising agencies and promotional products distributors led to happy faces among nearly all of the exhibitors. The promotional products distributors had brought their customers along with them to offer them inspiration for their work with haptic advertising.
The visitors certainly received inspiration in a compact and intensive form, because the practically oriented event format combines product presentations with examples of possible applications on one single day: In two exhibition halls, 110 exhibitors (previous year: 78) presented trend-led items, novelties and classics – from writing instruments, calendars, notepads, power banks and textiles through to soap bubbles in logo form, webcam covers and tongue tattoos, through to socks or shoes in corporate design. Marketing professionals offered practical insights in the scope of a lecture programme. Furthermore, the special exhibitions on the gallery in Hall 1 presented creative highlights. Whilst the Best Practice Special Show graphically demonstrated examples of campaigns and implementations by companies ranging from Coca-Cola to Mercedes Benz, through to Reporters Without Borders, a further exhibition presented the 52 award-winning products of this year’s Promotional Gift Award. The prize-winners additionally received their moment of glory on the big stage during the official award ceremony, before a get-together brought the event to a pleasant close.
Many visitors praised the concept, organisation of HAPTICA® live and the good atmosphere. Since the event has in the meantime exceeded the spatial capacity of the Palladium in Cologne, it will be relocating next year: The HAPTICA® live ’16 will be staged in the World Conference Center Bonn (WCCB) on March 16, 2016.
