Putting haptic advertising under the spotlight – that is the aim of the event format „HAPTICA® live“, which was initiated by the Cologne-based publishing company, WA Media, in 2013. The main focus of „Experiencing Haptic Advertising“ is to provide entrepreneurs and marketeers with practical stimuli and ideas. As far as the second edition is concerned, which was staged at the Palladium in Cologne on March 26, 2014, the organisers certainly seem to have reached their objective. Anyone, who enquired about the mood and opinions of the participants of the one-day event, received a thoroughly positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors alike.

The concept unites several elements: 78 exhibitors (previous year: 42) presented their products in two halls. The Best Practice Special Show and a lecture programme comprising of five speakers, including promotional products users and agencies, gave an insight into the practical forms of application. The Promotional Gift Award 2014 was a further highlight: A special on-site exhibition enabled the visitors to examine all 53 award-winning products. Furthermore, 46 of the award-winners, who in some cases had travelled to the event from Italy, Slovenia and Spain, were honoured on stage in Hall 1 during the official prize-giving ceremony.

Evidently, the programme that exclusively focuses on haptic advertising aroused the interest of many decision-makers from the marketing, advertising, creation and purchasing sectors. According to the official figures, in total 959 visitors attended the event at the Palladium (previous year: 614).
